On 27 June BIDV held the fifth conference on wrapping up the emulation movements, honouring outstanding groups and individuals for their achievements in the period 2015-2019 as well as setting new goals for the coming five year period.

The conference evaluated achievements; identified weaknesses, shortcomings and solutions, and outlined directions, objectives and tasks of the bank’s emulation movements in the coming time. Such movements are expected to contribute to the successful fulfillment of key tasks, to meet the requirements of a modern bank.

The conference provided an opportunity for the BIDV system to honour, study and replicate the successes of 30 excellent groups and 54 individuals in emulation movements. It also identified valuable lessons, experiences, and good practices for wide replication, making BIDV's emulation movement increasingly developed in both breadth and depth, creating a driving force for improving the efficiency and quality of professional work.

At the meeting, BIDV’s Board of Management and Executive Committee of BIDV Trade Union signed an emulation covenant and commitment to implementation.

Thoroughly grasping the government's orientations on socio-economic development and the directions of the Governor of the State Bank at the conference on the implementation of banking tasks in 2020, BIDV set directions for emulation tasks in the period 2020-2025 as follows:

Continuing to thoroughly grasp the guidelines and policies of the State and the banking sector on emulation and commendation work; making changes and raising the awareness of groups and individuals about innovating the emulation and commendation task. Continuing to innovate contents, methods of organisation and activities of emulation and commendation with a focus on implementing and completing the business tasks of each unit, finding and nurturing new typical examples.

In order to achieve the above objectives, BIDV said it would strongly develop the emulation movement, focusing on the strategic goal of BIDV for the period 2020-2025 - that of sustainable development. The bank strives to successfully complete political tasks and business plans for the period 2020-2025; building a strong bank that strictly complies with the Labour Code and democracy regulations at grassroots level. Developing human resources, taking care of the material and spiritual life of employees; and ensuring jobs, legitimate rights and interests were also mentioned as key areas. The bank will also continue its active participation in social security activities, maintaining its position as one of the largest banks pioneering in community responsibilities.
