BIDV presents 5,000 lifesaver backpacks to students for new school year

Entering school year 2019 - 2020, BIDV has presented 5,000 lifesaver backpacks with a total value of nearly VND1 billion to disadvantaged students and students from remote areas of 10 provinces, including Dien Bien, Gia Lai, Binh Dinh, Lai Chau, Long An, Tien Giang, Quang Ngai, Son La, Thanh Hoa and Ha Tinh.
This is BIDV annual activity collaborating with Golden Heart Fund (Vietnam General Confederation of Labor) in the program "Accompany children to school".
At the event held in Ha Tinh province, Mr. Phan Huy Hoang - Permanent Vice Chairman of BIDV Trade Union - said: “This is the 10th consecutive year BIDV implemented this charity program. We hopes that the lifesaver backpacks will help students feel more secure communing to class, especially during rainy season. Such meaningful gifts prepared for new school year will be a reward to encourage children to overcome difficulties and study harder."
Since 2009, BIDV Trade Union has proactively accompanied with Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in charity programs for disadvantaged children, children from remote areas, and children of poor workers across the country, such as: rewarding scholarships, giving lifesaver backpacks, presents Tet gifts, etc. In 2016, collaborating with the Golden Heart Fund - Vietnam General Confederation of Labor), BIDV committed to sponsor 25,000 lifesaver backpacks for students in 5 years (from 2016 to 2020).
