ERPA was signed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as the Program Implementing Agency and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) (belonging to the World Bank group) as a trustee of FCPF. The agreement aims to transfer 10.3 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions reductions in the North Central region (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue) for the period 2018 - 2024 to FCPF, with the total amount of 51.5 million USD. Vietnam is the first country in Asia-Pacific and the fifth globally to reach this important agreement with FCPF.
