From 1 October 2021, employees who are maintaining unemployment insurance as of 30 September 2021 and the ones who have reserved the period of maintaining unemployment insurance from 1 January 2020 to 30 September 2021 will be paid unemployment insurance following the Government’s Resolution No. 116/NQ-CP dated 24 September 2021 (on the policy to support employees and employers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic from the unemployment insurance fund).

Since the Covid-19 pandemic remains serious, Vietnam Social Security encourages benefit payment to employees via bank account. Employees should open individual accounts at banks to ensure timely, accurate and transparent payments.

Those who do not have a bank account can easily apply to open account at BIDV using eKYC without having to visit the counter for KYC as before.
