Under Notice No. 43/TB-UBND dated 29 March 2022 by Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, BIDV is one among the banks assigned by Ho Chi Minh City to coordinate with the seaport authority for collecting fees for use of infrastructure and public works of local seaport border gates (referred to as seaport infrastructure fee) from 0h00 on 1 April 2022

In particular, BIDV Binh Dien Saigon branch is assigned to coordinate with HCMC Inland Waterway Port Authority to collect seaport infrastructure fee while other branches will cooperate with the authority for service delivery. Customers can pay seaport infrastructure fees quickly and conveniently through various means, including BIDV e-banking apps (BIDV SmartBanking for individual customers, BIDV iBank for institutional customers); transfer money from any banks to HCMC Inland Waterway Port Authority’s account opened at BIDV at 11710008116868; or make transactions at more than 1,000 BIDV’s transaction points nationwide.

On 25 March 2022, HCMC Department of Transport in collaboration with HCMC Department of Information and Communications held a press conference for launching seaport infrastructure fee collection.
