From 2 December 2021, Discover Financial Services (DFS) cardholders around the world can make transactions and payments at BIDV's ATM and POS network in Vietnam.

With the successful cooperation between NAPAS and BIDV, DFS cardholders can enjoy the most convenient non-cash payment method when coming to Vietnam. The successful payment connection is part of DFS's strategy to expanding its network through card organizations and switching ones.

In Vietnam, BIDV is the first bank to deploy the service of DFS card acceptance.

Through BIDV's large payment network of 2,000 ATMs and more than 37,800 POS, this service will meet the payment needs of foreigners when coming to Vietnam, promoting payment transactions in the country, contributing to increasing benefits for Vietnamese people and businesses. It also facilitates the door opening to welcome foreign tourists in the context socio-economic activities gradually adapting to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Discover Financial Services (DFS) is a banking and payment service provider with the 6th largest payment network in the world, operating 3 international card issuance and acceptance networks: Discover Network, PULSE Network and Diners Club International (DCI) Network. DFS's payment network covers 200 countries and territories with more than 270 million cardholders globally. In 2020, more than USD415 billion is processed through the DFS system.

In Vietnam, DFS and NAPAS officially signed a cooperation contract in 2018 to deploy DFS card acceptance service at ATMs and POS networks of payment organizations that are members of NAPAS.
