Proactively sharing difficulties with customers, BIDV has introduced solutions to support business and individual customers, such as: reducing, waiving interest rate, rescheduling repayment period, maintaining debt group according to Circular 01; extending new loans to customers' feasible business plans at appropriate interest rates to assist them in restoring their production and business activities.

Particularly, BIDV launched credit packages for customers such as VND5,000 billion credit package for individual customers, VND20,000 billion and USD100 million package for corporate customers, and VND100,000 billion package for small and medium businesses.

In addition, to encourage and shape cashless payment habits for customers, minimizing the spread of Corona virus, BIDV has launched promotion programs including:

+ For individual customers: Reduce up to 70% online interbank transfer fee for transaction worth less than VND500,000 (the fee now only at VND2,000/transaction). This is the lowest fee among the 4 State-owned commercial banks. BIDV offers fee waiver for new customers and extra 0.2% p.a. for online savings.

+ For corporate customers: BIDV i-Bank cuts 50% transfer fee for all customers, and offers fee waiver for customers registering for electronic tax payment services, fee waiver for electronic customs services, fee waiver for import and export tax collection services for tax payment transactions to the State Treasury’s accounts opened at BIDV.

In addition to business activity support, BIDV has earlier donated VND10 billion for Covid-19 prevention and control. BIDV’s Trade Union has equipped for its units more than VND13 billion value of equipment for disease prevention. In 2019, BIDV has implemented over 90 social security program cross-country with the total budget of nearly VND300 billion.
